Tiffany Haddish’s best quotes from the MTV Movie & TV Awards

Actressandcomedian TiffanyHaddishused the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards as an opportunity to share some of her best jokes.

The Girls Trip star – who hosted the annual ceremony on Monday night – hilariously narrated a number of pre-taped and live skits throughout the evening.

At one point during the event, she wore a replica of Meghan Markle’s wedding gown saying, “She’s from my hood. I had to represent.”

Some of Haddish’s best jokes came from her opening monologue in which she took the opportunity to hit on her favourite men from the audience, including Nick Jonas and Seth Rogen.

Sanju full movie review

Sanju full movie review

Sanju is the fawning biopic of Sanjay Dutt that the trailer warned us about.

The opening credits for Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju advise viewer discretion, since some scenes are likely to be distressing.

It isn’t clear whether the director is also referring to the sections that whitewash the Hindi movie star and entirely shift the blame for his transgressions to external factors.

It promises complexity and psychological acuity. Until a point, it appears to be on track to creating a nuanced portrait of controversy’s favourite child – but then it plummets into unquestioning and misty-eyed reverence.

The screenplay, by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi, opens with a writer presenting an obsequious biography of Sanjay Dutt (Ranbir Kapoor) that compares the actor to Mahatma Gandhi, an in-joke about Hirani’s 2006 film Lage Raho Munnabhai, in which Dutt’s gangster Munna gets visions of and is transformed by Mahatma Gandhi’s ghost.

The brawny actor will have none of it. He rejects the book and seeks another writer to document his tumultuous life. “Nobody knows the real me,” he declares. By the end of 162 minutes, neither will you.

Despite this, the appointed writer gives away the biggest clue to the biopic’s attitude to its subject. Dutt, in the presence of his third wife Manyata (Dia Mirza), is telling Winnie about the number of women he has bedded. At least 350, he says, and don’t include the prostitutes. Winnie’s blue contact lenses widen in a mix of incredulity and glee that causes the corners of her lips to meet her earlobes.

The cocktail of gobsmacked fascination and rampaging admiration rarely thins, even when Dutt is at the peak of self-damage.

His early substance abuse, which costs him his relationship with Ruby (Sonam Kapoor) and the momentum built by his debut film Rocky in 1981, is blamed on a crooked drug dealer (Jim Sarbh).

The second villain is the destruction of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, which led to communal riots across India that were especially serious in Mumbai.

Spooked by threats of death and rape levelled at his family members, Dutt buys AK-56 assault rifles from members of Dawood Ibrahim’s gang, for which he is arrested and convicted.

Remo calls Race 3 a learning experience

Remo calls Race 3 a learning experience

According to Remo D’Souza As a maker, yes, I’m under pressure. Both Race and Race 2 did well and were directed by legends AbbasMustan, of whom I’m a fan. Now, I’ve come in as the director, I have Salman Khan, a huge cast and the action is next level, so there’s a lot of pressure.

With his upcoming film, Race 3, just few days away from its release, filmmaker Remo D’Souza is enjoying this “mixed feeling” of excitement and nervousness.

It is crazy. It’s like when you know you’ve written the exam well but you are waiting for the result,” he says. Directing an ensemble cast with big stars, which includes Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol, Remo calls this film a “learning experience”.

In a freewheeling chat, the filmmaker opens up about taking the hit franchise forward and the pressure which comes along, directing Salman Khan, making him dance and more. As a maker, yes, I’m under pressure. Both Race 1 and Race 2 have done well and they were directed by legends Abbas-Mustan, of whom I’m a fan. Now, I’ve come in as the director, have Salman Khan, and a huge cast and the action is next level, so there’s a lot of pressure.

This was a surprise film for me. I still can’t believe that I’ve finished shooting the film before time. It’s also Salman’s fastest film and it all happened because of him.

He was there on time and did everything leaving me surprised. So, it was very, very easy. I’ve learned a lot from every actor in this film. But Salman sir and Anil Kapoor have taught me so much. They’re so grounded and passionate about making films and so professional about the process that it’s unbelievable.

I remember once Salman had to fly back to Mumbai, and he was reaching early morning. I said, ‘Take rest and then come on the sets by afternoon.’ But at 7 in the morning, I got a call from him, saying,‘I’m at the airport and I’m coming to the sets now.’ That was amazing. My idea [from day one] was to make him dance. I know he has this typical style of small steps that people love. And, in addition to that, I made sure he tried other dance styles, too. He loves dancing, so it wasn’t much of a challenge. He’s got his fan following and people love him for the star he is. I’m a huge Salman fan; like those who whistle, clap and jump each time he comes onscreen. I always wanted to do a film with him.

Having just celebrated her 42nd birthday, producer Ekta Kapoor feels that she is ageing backwards. Starting her career at 17, Ekta is now making youth-based shows on her digital platform, with more powerful roles for women. Though her projection of women is strong in films, she still gets criticised for some of her supernatural TV shows.

They watch them voraciously,” she says, adding, “Our Naagin is not only popular in every region of our country but also in Pakistan. It has been remade in Indonesia.

The film has received a thumbs up from the Hindi film fraternity. Alia’s father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has praised the film and has written about it on Twitter, “She has empathy, generosity and the audacity to sing her song which comes straight from her heart. More power to her.

Raazi movie director: Meghna Gulzar
Raazi movie cast: Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Soni Razdan, Rajit Kapur, Arif Zakaria, Ashwath Bhatt
Raazi movie rating: 3.5 stars.

Raazi hangs on to that ‘true story’ claim, adding ‘incredible’ to it. That means it has almost all ground covered, apart from the fact that you should know by now that ‘a true story’ doesn’t have to be ‘the true story’.Raazi (2018) Full Movie Watch Online Free.

But never mind, for Raazi is as true as mainstream Bollywood can get in dealing with two countries now joined only by rancour and wars. For at the heart of it are two normal families, separated by a border not yet as delineated by hate, and joined in their individual love for own motherland. When they look at the ‘other’, they don’t see an enemy, but people similar to them acting out of that same patriotic instinct.

There is a lot of reference to watan, mulk etc, and how “it is above everything else”, but we are spared speeches about one country being better than the other. Sehmat, played by Alia, is welcomed with open arms by the large, elite Pakistani family she gets married into. And only some of it has to do with the fact that her father was friends with her father-in-law in college, before Partition. Rajit Kapur as Sehmat’s father Hidayat is inconsequential; the mother played by real-life mom Soni Razdan remains in grief about this arrangement regarding her daughter, but almost completely silent.
